Shelia understands that buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make, and she takes that responsibility very seriously. She will listen to you and help you find what YOU WANT, not what she wants to sell you. Shelia’s motto is: “I’ll Work Harder for You Than You Will for Yourself.”
Shelia has gone the EXTRA mile to educate herself in Real Estate. She earned her ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designations, and she is an Associate Broker. She also works to stay abreast of current technology in order to serve her clients more efficiently.
Shelia’s husband, Dave Swaim, (who is also a Realtor) served many years in the Army’s 3rd ID. Shelia successfully home-schooled all 3 of her children from K-12 and it’s an accomplishment of which she is very proud. Shelia is a musician and actually travelled for several years playing an upright bass and singing backup in a contemporary bluegrass band. She is an avid sports fan, plays golf, loves camping and fishing……and she’s the ultimate host.
Shelia’s goal is much more than a single sale; Shelia wants to be your realtor for life!

Dave Swaim grew up in the Madison County area and attended Madison County High School when it was located in the City of Gurley. While there he excelled in both basketball and baseball but chose to serve our country in the U.S. Military rather than accept any of the numerous scholarships offered to him in sports after high school.
Dave has served in many duties with the military including as the Protocol Officer for the Commanding General at Fort Benjamin Harrison and as the NCOIC of the Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) with the 3rd Infantry Division while serving in Germany.
Dave has been a Realtor since June 2008, and hit the ground running with Real Estate by taking the disciplines he acquired in the Army and converting his work ethics to Real Estate, specifically becoming the expert in assisting For Sale By Owners (FSBO) in selling their home and moving on to their next home. Dave works with all buyers and sellers to assist in educating them about the home buying and selling process.
His 15 years with the U. S. Army has enabled him to relate to all of the situations and requirements of a military family move including the buying and selling of a home through all aspects of the military life. Knowing that most military families have a small window of opportunity to make their move, Dave goes to work immediately for them to make the transition as smooth as possible, even within the normal 10 day house hunting trips.
After leaving the military with 15 years of service, Dave operated many businesses of his own and managed many retail stores looking for the “career” he could work in and love, so that it didn’t seem like work. He has found that with Real Estate and is excited to be a partner with his wife Shelia in developing a very strong team within the RE/MAX Family.
After spending 34 years in TV News, I was looking for a new challenge. I have worked for 11 years in Sports News and then 23 years in News. I learned many things over those 34 years that taught me how valuable it is to listen to people and meet the needs of the Community. I’ve always viewed my passion as helping people. This new journey in Real Estate is just another avenue in Public Service.
My happiness will depend on helping my neighbors transition through one of the largest decisions and investments of their lives. I look forward to helping them achieve their dream as I begin this next chapter with The Shelia Swaim Team and my new RE/MAX Unlimited Family!
Real Estate profession is a very respectable and challenging job but with great motivation and determination, it is very possible to achieve one’s goal. I’m originally from the Philippines and lived in the United States for 30 years. I chose Alabama to be my home now. I love meeting people and I love music as well. Being a bank executive in my past job would surely help me find my way into the real estate world. I also have a degree in business administration.
I am happy and excited to join the Sheila Swaim Team who inspired me and encouraged me to get into this wonderful business. I can’t wait to get started!
Hi all! My name is Olivia Kirkland and I am so excited to be joining Remax Unlimited under Ms. Martha Webster and the Shelia Swaim team!
I have been married over 26 years to my high school sweetheart, Mark and together we have been blessed beyond measure with two wonderful children, Kayla and Cody, 4 spoiled fur babies , my sweet son in law Brett, and one very spoiled grand fur baby.
Together my husband and I have had an award winning custom cabinetry business that we’ve owned for over 22 years. I personally have also been a licensed contractor for over 10 years and have built both residential and commercial properties. Both of these trades have worked to provide me with not only an extensive knowledge of the building industry, process and codes but have also served to be wonderful learning experiences of how important it is to always listen and work diligently to serve each and every client’s individual needs and interests. The smile on a satisfied customer’s face is an absolute unspoken award that I look forward to winning again and again, no matter what it takes.
It was with Ms. Martha Webster that many years ago I entrusted with listing and selling my very first spec home. As someone who only accepts the highest of standards, I watched with satisfaction her absolute dedication to service and superior excellence throughout the transaction. It was then a desire set up in my own heart to be able to serve my community in the exact same way. My many years of experience in and around the industry have taught me not only the power of negotiations, the importance of attention to detail, the absolute necessity of communication and follow thru, but have also conditioned me to never stray from a challenge, that nothing is ever impossible, the art of finding common ground and balance and most of all, to make sure every customer is carefully listened to and served to the absolute best of my ability and their every need met. I look forward to now being able to build lifelong relationships with all of my clientele by earning their trust one new home bought or sold at a time. I stand proudly as a Remax Unlimited Realtor and look forward to meeting and serving you all!
My name is Linda Hileman, and I am excited to be reentering the workforce after many years of serving my Family, raising Children, and managing our investment properties. My hobbies and interests include yoga, numerous outdoor activities, and Real Estate investing. The benefits of property ownership were introduced to me early in life. On Sunday mornings with my Dad, we’d regularly listen to Jay Lamont’s radio show, All About Real Estate. After graduating from college and becoming financially independent, I purchased my first home at age 24. Over the course of many more years and 12 Family moves, I have been both a homeowner and a tenant in my primary residences. Additionally, I have experience with flipping houses, foreclosures, as well as managing my own rental properties. As an Agent, I’d like to draw from my experiences in an effort to help my Clients meet their Real Estate needs. I am acutely aware of, and sensitive to, the stresses Clients are facing throughout their transitions. I consider it a privilege to be in a position where I can help Clients through these challenging times.
