Shelia understands that buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make, and she takes that responsibility very seriously. She will listen to you and help you find what YOU WANT, not what she wants to sell you. Shelia’s motto is: “I’ll Work Harder for You Than You Will for Yourself.”
Shelia has gone the EXTRA mile to educate herself in Real Estate. She earned her ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designations, and she is an Associate Broker. She also works to stay abreast of current technology in order to serve her clients more efficiently.
Shelia’s husband, Dave Swaim, (who is also a Realtor) served many years in the Army’s 3rd ID. Shelia successfully home-schooled all 3 of her children from K-12 and it’s an accomplishment of which she is very proud. Shelia is a musician and actually travelled for several years playing an upright bass and singing backup in a contemporary bluegrass band. She is an avid sports fan, plays golf, loves camping and fishing……and she’s the ultimate host.
Shelia’s goal is much more than a single sale; Shelia wants to be your realtor for life!
Dave Swaim grew up in the Madison County area and attended Madison County High School when it was located in the City of Gurley. While there he excelled in both basketball and baseball but chose to serve our country in the U.S. Military rather than accept any of the numerous scholarships offered to him in sports after high school.
Dave has served in many duties with the military including as the Protocol Officer for the Commanding General at Fort Benjamin Harrison and as the NCOIC of the Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) with the 3rd Infantry Division while serving in Germany.
Dave has been a Realtor since June 2008, and hit the ground running with Real Estate by taking the disciplines he acquired in the Army and converting his work ethics to Real Estate, specifically becoming the expert in assisting For Sale By Owners (FSBO) in selling their home and moving on to their next home. Dave works with all buyers and sellers to assist in educating them about the home buying and selling process.
His 15 years with the U. S. Army has enabled him to relate to all of the situations and requirements of a military family move including the buying and selling of a home through all aspects of the military life. Knowing that most military families have a small window of opportunity to make their move, Dave goes to work immediately for them to make the transition as smooth as possible, even within the normal 10 day house hunting trips.
After leaving the military with 15 years of service, Dave operated many businesses of his own and managed many retail stores looking for the “career” he could work in and love, so that it didn’t seem like work. He has found that with Real Estate and is excited to be a partner with his wife Shelia in developing a very strong team within the RE/MAX Family.
